Live in Part Time Caretaker/Security Job in East Anglia
This is a fabulous opportunity to work for a lovely returning client of Greycoat’s whose current Caretaker has been there for over 20 years! The Estate compromises a stunning period grade I listed property on 4 acres of land in the desirable East Anglia countryside, not too far from the coast.
The ideal candidate will be reliable, conscientious, energetic, flexible and a dog lover. The role would suit someone who enjoys a quiet rural life.
The couple have a Dog and there are 4 Alpacas on the estate. Also employed is a Gardener and Cleaners.
Duties:
- Security of the estate with investigating perimeter breaches, alarms and to generally be aware of what is happening on a daily basis
- Occasional driving duties (station runs etc)
- Daily dog care (dog walking, feeding, liaising with the vets when required)
- Feeding the Alpacas
- Liaising with contractors and tradespeople
- Collecting post daily and taking deliveries
- Rubbish disposal
- Food shopping and running local errands
- Monitoring the comings and goings on the estate and letting in visitors
- Light garden maintenance (some lawn mowing, leaf clearing, clearing pathways and sweeping terraces etc)
- Swimming pool maintenance
- Minor repairs and DIY
- Providing 24/7 security onsite, if the principals are away
Accommodation: 1 bedroom cottage on the estate. Bills are paid. Partners might be considered for the right candidate. Also provided is a car, for the successful candidate, that can be used for work and personal use. The employer will be responsible for all costs relating to the vehicle, apart from fuel costs, for personal use.
Working days & hours: 24/7 security position with only approximately 2 hours of work per day, as outlined in the duties above
Driving: Full clean driving licence is necessary for the role.
Start: October
Salary: £15,000 - £20,000 gross per annum, negotiable depending on experience
