The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our industry-leading client based in the Ipswich area. We are looking for a dedicated Class 2 Driver to join the teams.
Hours: Monday to Friday - 8:30am - 6pm
Pay Rate: 拢15.28 per hour PAYE
Location: Ipswich, IP5

The role:
路 Safely operate a Class 2 vehicle to make scheduled deliveries and collections for customers.
. Up to 5 deliveries in the morning to industrial clients - these will be bulk items and drivers will be required to load the pallets onto the truck (manual labour required)
. In the afternoon, drivers will be required to do 2/3 collections - i.e. would go to the collection bring back to depot, get unloaded and then go back to the same location for the next collection.
路 Plan delivery routes efficiently to complete drops, considering traffic, road conditions, and time constraints.
路 Provide excellent customer service while interacting with customers during deliveries and collections.
路 Handle packages with care to prevent damage and ensure accurate delivery.
路 Complete necessary paperwork and digital documentation for each delivery and collection accurately and promptly.
路 Adhere to all relevant traffic and safety regulations, including securing loads and wearing appropriate safety gear.
路 Communicate effectively with despatch, supervisors, and customers to provide updates on delivery progress and potential delays.
路 Assist with loading and unloading packages onto and from the delivery vehicle.
Requirements:
路 Have at least 1 years on relevant licence and experience (Category C).
路 Have a valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
路 Have no more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
路 Have a full understanding of WTD legislation.
路 Proven experience within a similar role.
路 Have the ability to handle physical tasks, such as manual handling of heavy parcels.
路 Have excellent communication skills to liaise with the transport team.
路 Have strong familiarity with local routes and areas.
路 Be hard-working, reliable and flexible for hours.
