Commercial Gas Engineer

About the role:

EPPH Ltd has new positions for Commercial Gas Engineers to join their contracts dynamic team to carry out reactive repairs, service and other works to heating systems in commercial buildings in Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk.

Location:? Ipswich, East Anglia

Salary:?Highly Competitive Rate (DOE)

Standard Hours:? 42.5 hours, from 7:30 - 16:00 Monday to Friday

Employment:? Permanent, Full-Time

Years of relevant experience:? 3 years of strong industry experience

Requirements:

  • Experience working in live buildings within a commercial environment
  • Relevant experience in schools work, commercial work and construction industry
  • Knowledge of building regulations and industry standards
  • Strong diagnostic skills for detailed fault finding
  • Proven experience in carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks
  • Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met in line with the appropriate codes of practice and environmental protection requirements
  • Initiative and flexible approach to work
  • Successful candidate will be required to participate in the on-call rota for reactive breakdowns (currently 2-3 weeks a year)
  • Have a positive attitude and keen to apply your trade and learn new skills
  • A commitment to EPPH safety culture and participate in team meetings

Skills and Experience:

  • Full manual UK driving licence
  • Hold domestic & commercial gas qualifications
  • Electrical qualifications are desirable (17th/18th Edition) but not essential.
  • CSCS / Skill card is desirable
  • Full set of hand tool is required, specialist tools will be supplied

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
