Role overview:

EPPH are looking for Commercial Gas Engineers to join their industry and contracts team to carry out reactive repairs, service and works on heating systems in projects in Suffolk, Essex and Norfolk. They have an expansive portfolio of projects in the UK with leading clients across the private and public sectors who share their values and purpose. They are seeking candidates with enthusiasm and drive to grow and support them.

Location: Ipswich, East Anglia

Salary: Highly Competitive Rate (DOE and negotiable)

Hours: Full-Time 42.5, from 7:30 - 16:00

Employment: Permanent

Years of relevant experience: 2 - 3 years of strong industry experience

To be successful, you will preferably have experience with elements of the following in the project environment:

  • Experience working in live buildings within a commercial environment
  • Relevant experience in schools work, commercial work and construction industry
  • Knowledge of building regulations and industry standards
  • Strong diagnostic skills for detailed fault finding
  • Proven experience in carrying out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) tasks
  • Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met in line with the appropriate codes of practice and environmental protection requirements
  • Initiative and flexible approach to work
  • Successful candidate will be required to participate in the on-call rota for reactive breakdowns (currently 2-3 weeks a year)
  • Have a positive attitude and keen to apply your trade and learn new skills
  • Strong focus on quality and safety

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of strong industry experience
  • Full manual UK driving license
  • Hold domestic & commercial gas qualifications
  • Electrical qualifications are desirable (17th/18th Edition) but not essential.
  • CSCS / Skill card is desirable
  • Full set of hand tool is required, specialist tools will be supplied
  • Opportunity to obtain further qualifications with EPPH
