Duties of an Account Manager
In this role, you will be working as part of the Sales Team to drive business growth and customer retention. Reporting to the Head of Sales, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and growing your sales pipeline by introducing customers to new and existing products and services.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts.
- Building relationships with existing accounts to identify new business opportunities.
- Providing full visibility of new business and opportunities through the CRM.
- Delivering webinars or on-site demonstrations for potential customers.
- Recognising and responding to customer behaviour to reduce churn or address service termination requests.
Skills and Experience of an Account Manager
As an Account Manager, you need experience with:
- Strong interpersonal and organisational skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and varied role.
- Listening to customer needs and matching them with appropriate products and services.
- Successfully working in sales roles, ideally within the technology/telecommunications sector (e.g., Mobile, Hosted Telephony, Connectivity Services, IT, and Managed Services).
It would be beneficial if you also had:
- Experience in customer retention and pipeline development.
- A creative and self-motivated approach to generating new business.
- A driven attitude to meet and exceed revenue targets.
