If so, we are looking for a Marketing Manager to join our team In Ipswich, Suffolk to provide maternity cover. The role will be based in Ipswich, Suffolk, working 37 hours per week with up to 4 days a week hybrid

  • Holiday: 21 days + bank holidays, increasing 1 day a year for every year worked up to seven years. (pro rata for part time hours)

About the role:

This is an exciting opportunity for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to make a real impact in the community. You will collaborate closely with the Communications Manager to deliver our marketing and communications strategies, ensuring alignment with our core goals and engaging our diverse audience segments. In this role you will work remotely for up to 4 days per week.

Main duties and responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate a comprehensive calendar of marketing activities that resonate with our audience.
  • Develop detailed marketing plans for key initiatives that drive engagement and enhance service delivery.
  • Lead the creation and implementation of our Marketing and Communications strategy, ensuring alignment with departmental KPIs.
  • Serve as the primary contact for all marketing inquiries and foster partnerships.
  • Oversee brand integrity and ensure best practises in marketing across all channels – traditional, digital, and social.
  • Manage and develop Suffolk Libraries' digital estate, including the website and social media profiles.
  • Execute best practises in organic SEO and email marketing automation.
  • Track, analyse, and report on engagement metrics to continuously optimise marketing strategies.
  • Supervise and support direct reports, fostering a creative and collaborative team environment.
  • Manage the marketing budget ensuring cost efficiency and a strong return on investment.

About You:

We are looking for a proactive, flexible team player with exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality. Your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to build effective working relationships across the organisation. You should possess proven experience in marketing and communications across multiple channels, strategic thinking, proficiency in marketing automation and web analytics tools, an understanding of accessibility best practises, excellent communication skills, and experience in budget management and financial planning.
