The company are one of the largest privately owned cvii engineering contractors in the UK and they operate across the infrastructure, utility and energy sectors.
The site engineer will have the opportunity to work at the start of a major project and to be part of the energy division of the business which is enjoying significant growth across the UK.
This role is open to permanent and contract Site Engineers, however there is a preference for a permanent member of staff due to the longterm nature of the work.
The Role
- Working closely with the Project Manager the Site Engineer's responsibilities will include:
- Setting out of the detailed works as per drawings
- Assisting with task briefings
- Checking Inspection Test Plans and that installation on site is correct according to specifications
- Resolving technical problems at all levels
- Ensuring quality control is adhered to and activities are carried out in a safe manner and in accordance with company Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental policies and procedures.
- Liaising with Site/Project Manager regarding methods, QA, and testing requirements
- Assisting the Site/Project Manager in selection and methods of construction and producing RAMS for approval with a practical knowledge
- Ensuring management and compliance of company procedures and policies
- Liaising with the HSEQ Team regarding work task methods
Experince Required
Suitable Site Engineers will be able to demonstrate experience working in civil engineering projects any experience working within the power, energy or utlity sectors will be advantegous but not essential.
Site Engineers will require aaCSCS Card and be experienced with setting out and associated software.
NEC3 Experience is also desirable
