Bristow Holland is seeking a talented DevOps Engineer to join a dynamic and innovative business based in Ipswich. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, building, configuring, and supporting the IT environments that enable the development and operation of the company’s business systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver services and platforms using DevOps methodologies.
  • Monitor system performance to ensure reliability, security, and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with IT and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery of IT platforms.
  • Integrate security and compliance standards into all IT platforms.
  • Develop roadmaps for new platforms and implement changes to existing systems.
  • Lead, design, and execute technical projects.
  • Evaluate and select the best tools and technologies to meet business needs.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and drive continuous improvement.
  • Document configurations and processes to support multiple development teams.
  • Manage systems such as API gateways, databases, web servers, Linux servers, source control platforms, container orchestration, monitoring platforms, developer portals, message queuing software, centralized log management tools, automation servers, and configuration management tools.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience delivering services using DevOps methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
  • Proficiency with containerisation tools such as Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with software developers and lead technical initiatives.
  • Strong skills in scripting and programming languages.
  • Experience managing APIs and working with multiple technology stacks.
  • Solid understanding of cybersecurity best practices and experience in configuring systems to optimize security.
