About the role:
As a CNC Lathe Machinist, you'll be shaping precision components using advanced multi-axis mill turn machines. Reporting directly to the Machine Shop Supervisor and Head of Machining, your expertise will help drive the company's performance while adhering to the highest quality standards. You will work 37 hours per week Monday to Thursday, 8:30am - 4:30pm and Fridays 8:30am - 4pm.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Interpret detailed technical drawings and specifications, ensuring compliance with tight tolerances.
- Programme, set, and operate CNC laith machines, demonstrating your proficiency in Fanuc and Haas control systems.
- Edit and prove programmes to optimise production efficiency, utilising your relevant programming knowledge.
- Work with exotic materials, including Duplex, Super Duplex, Aluminium Bronze, Inconel, Monel, Titanium, and Stellite.
- Deliver exceptional quality while working with small batch production and one-off pieces.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement new machining methods that enhance productivity and quality.
About you:
You should be a reliable, driven professional and dedicated CNC Machinist along with having exceptional attention to detail and conscientious approach to work. You should have a proven ability to perform under pressure and meet strict deadlines. Proficiency in using Fanuc and Haas controls is essential, alongside a passion for engineering and a desire to keep up with the latest advancements in machining technology.
