CNC Turner - Precision Engineering

Location: Ipswich
Salary: up to 38k
Additional Pay: Yearly bonus

Prime Appointments is currently seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join a busy precision engineering company located on the outskirts of Ipswich. In this role, you'll work on high-quality components within the Aerospace and Automotive industries, with excellent opportunities for training and professional development.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Program and Operate CNC Lathes: Produce high-precision components, ensuring the highest quality standards.
  • Maintain Workspace: Proactively keep a clean, safe, and organised workspace, ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored.
  • Continuous Improvement: Assist in identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance productivity and workshop efficiency.
  • Interpret Technical Drawings: Work from technical drawings and engineering plans, making necessary adjustments to achieve optimal results.
  • Routine Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on CNC machines, troubleshooting and resolving any operational issues to minimise downtime.


Skills & Experience Required:

  • Proven experience operating CNC Turning machines.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical processes and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
  • Experience with milling processes is a bonus, but not essential.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly troubleshoot and resolve machine issues.
