Building Control Surveyor

Location: Suffolk

Panoramic is partnering with a Local Authority in Suffolk to appoint a dedicated Building Control Surveyor/Registered Building Inspector to join their team. This role will primarily focus on conducting site inspections to ensure safety and compliance across various construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct statutory and intermediate site inspections independently to ensure compliance with Building Regulations and related legislation.
  • Make decisive, on-site decisions regarding conformity without supervision, consulting the Senior Professional only in exceptional cases.
  • Inspect and verify works in progress and confirm completion in line with Building Regulations, particularly for Improvement Grants.
  • Keep detailed records of all site inspections for reference and compliance.
  • Review and assess construction plans to ensure adherence to regulations and provide technical guidance to developers and builders.
  • Manage your workload efficiently to deliver a responsive, high-quality service while maintaining a strong site presence.
  • Support health and safety initiatives and uphold the Council's standards for information security and data protection.
