Your new companyYou will be working for a Tier 1 contractor with an excellent reputation in the East of England. They specialise in commercial projects up to the value of £20 million, predominantly across defence, health and leisure sectors.Your new roleAs a Site Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing the site, adhering to all policies to ensure the project is delivered to budget and programme
  • Supervise all direct labour as necessary and coordinate the activities of trades and subcontractors involved on site to ensure all operations are performed efficiently and in accordance with the construction programme.
  • Ensure health and safety requirements are adhered to at all times in accordance with laid down company procedures and legislation.
  • Provide a reliable, first point of contact service.
  • Implement and monitor all systems and procedures and ensure effective operation.
  • Establish and maintain site set up and welfare facilities.
  • Provide feedback on objectives and training and development needs, as requested.
  • Understand customer's objectives and ensure good communication with the team.
  • Encourage customer feedback, communicate effectively with line managers, and take appropriate action where necessary.

What you'll need to succeed

  • You will have previous experience working as a site manager on commercial projects, ideally within education, defence or leisure projects.
  • SMSTS
  • CSCS
  • First aid
  • Driving licence
