Clearfield are currently working with a small, bespoke building company based in Suffolk, seeking a Contracts Manager to join their team and lead the successful delivery of a variety of bespoke, tailored residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage multiple projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient operations.
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant regulations, health and safety standards, and company policies.
  • Problem-solve and manage any issues that arise, finding solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Liaise with the directors and site teams to keep everyone aligned and informed.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or in a similar role, ideally within bespoke, high-end construction.
  • Strong knowledge of building processes, contracts, and regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • A proactive problem-solver with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in managing budgets and controlling costs effectively.
  • A keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering quality work.
  • A background in construction or a related qualification would be an advantage.
