Our client is a dynamic and growing company based in Ipswich, looking for a diligent and proactive Credit Control Assistant to join their finance team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing and collecting debts from company debtors
  • Setting up the terms of credit for new clients
  • Negotiating payment plans and ensuring timely payments
  • Processing and reconciling invoices
  • Monitoring debtor balances to ensure a reduction in debtors
  • Liaising with customers and internal departments to resolve payment issues
  • Preparing monthly credit control reports
  • Maintaining accurate records of all credit control activities

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a credit control or similar role is advantageous
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of accounting software is desirable
