Overview:

We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer & BI Analyst to take a hands-on role in developing scalable data systems, creating impactful business insights, and guiding a talented team. With a 40/40/20 split between data engineering, BI, and mentoring, this role offers a dynamic mix of technical challenges and leadership responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Data Engineering (40%):

    • Design, build, and maintain robust ETL pipelines to support seamless data integration and transformation.
    • Develop scalable data architecture to enable high-quality analytics and reporting.
    • Work with cloud-based platforms like Azure or AWS to manage and optimize data systems.
  • Business Intelligence (40%):

    • Create compelling visualizations and dashboards using tools like Power BI or Tableau to communicate key business insights.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address analytical needs, aligning with strategic goals.
    • Develop and automate KPI tracking to improve business performance.
  • Mentorship (20%):

    • Lead and mentor a team of BI analysts, fostering their development and ensuring project delivery excellence.
    • Encourage the adoption of innovative tools, techniques, and best practices across the team.
  • Process Optimization & Governance:

    • Enhance data workflows to improve efficiency and scalability.
    • Ensure compliance with data governance principles, maintaining quality and security standards.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration:

    • Partner with senior leaders to understand business challenges and deliver data-driven solutions.

About You:
  • Proven experience in data engineering and business intelligence, with a passion for mentoring and leadership.
  • Skilled in building and optimizing ETL pipelines, with strong knowledge of tools like SQL, Azure Data Factory, or similar.
  • Proficient in data visualization and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Alteryx.
  • Understanding of modern data solutions, including data warehouses, data lakes, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Adept at problem-solving, with a logical approach to complex challenges and a drive for continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication skills, able to present technical findings to non-technical stakeholders effectively.
