DBS school cleaner

Job Title: School Cleaner (DBS Required)

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk

Hours: Part-time, 15hours per week (Monday to Friday 3:30pm-6:30pm)

Salary: £11.44ph

Temp-Ongoing - ASAP start.

About the Role:

We are seeking a reliable, hard-working Cleaner to join our friendly team at a local school in Ipswich. You will play a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. Your primary responsibilities will include cleaning classrooms, corridors, bathrooms, and communal areas to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

· General cleaning duties including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.

· Ensuring all areas of the school are cleaned to meet health and safety standards.

· Emptying bins and managing waste disposal.

· Regular cleaning of high-contact surfaces (e.g., door handles, desks).

· Reporting any maintenance or repair needs to the site manager.

Requirements:

· Enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service) is essential - Applicants must either have a current DBS certificate or be on the updating service if certificate is older then 3 months.

· Previous cleaning experience (preferably in a school or similar environment).

· Ability to work independently and take initiative.

· Strong attention to detail.

· Reliable and punctual with a good work ethic.
