CAD Technician

the role.

This is a busy role within our clients' large and high-performing technical team. You will be producing technical design drawings within the construction industry, therefore we would ideally like to see candidates from construction or architectural background

There is so much on offer here a 9-5 working day with 2 days a week at home if you like a benefits package which is so generous and comprehensive, its a hard full offering to match.

Day to day your duties will be:

Produce, check and process incoming design drawing requests, technical documentation and technical calculations.
Liaison with clients and Area Technical Managers.
Dealing with telephone and email enquiries.
Understanding of specification construction, survey reports and construction drawings.
Some general administration.
Have a team centric approach, be involved and bring your best to a busy and professional team
Actively keep your knowledge up to date on industry codes of practice and building regulations

Although this position is initially office based, there is the opportunity to work on a hybrid basis after successful probation as mentioned above.

what were looking for.

The ideal candidate will be technically minded and originate from a Construction Industry/Architectural background. It is essential to have a working knowledge of CAD, with strong computer literacy and the ability to understand architectural drawings, along with a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate well at all levels. On the personality side, a team approach, the ability to get stuck in with a sense of humour is a must in this interesting role.
