Join Our Team as a Teaching Assistant - KS2

Location: Ipswich, Suffolk

Are you passionate about supporting children's learning and development? Do you have the skills and enthusiasm to make a real difference in the classroom? We are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant (KS2) to join our friendly and supportive school community in Ipswich.

About the Role:As a Teaching Assistant, you will be working closely with our Key Stage 2 students to support their academic progress, social development, and emotional well-being. You will assist the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons, provide one-to-one support where needed, and help manage classroom behaviour. Your role will be key in ensuring our pupils reach their full potential in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Key Responsibilities:· Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and classroom activities · Provide targeted support to individual or small groups of students · Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom atmosphere · Assist with marking, preparing resources, and administrative tasks · Help manage behaviour and ensure a safe and productive learning environment

We are looking for someone who:· Has a genuine passion for working with children · Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent) · Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills · Is enthusiastic, reliable, and adaptable in the classroom · Has experience working with KS2 students (desirable, but not essential)
