Electrical Project Engineer required for interesting and varied role based near Ipswich. The successful candidate will be office based and will be managing electrical control system installation at manufacturing sites around East Anglia and occasionally further afield. The role involves:

  • Liaising with customers to establish and manage their requirements
  • Establish criteria for successful project completion
  • Assisting electrical design engineers with the design of electrical control systems
  • Organising the installation of electrical control systems
  • Management of installation staff and sub-contractors
  • Dealing with any issues that may compromise the project
  • Working in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations, industry codes of practice and customer site specific rules.

Applicants must have:

  • Previous electrical project management experience
  • Experience in industrial electrical installations for both power and instrumentation including (ideally) ATEX installations
  • Up to date knowledge of BS7671 18th Edition
  • Recognised qualification in electrical engineering
  • Knowledge of Eplan would be an advantage, as would electrical design experience.
