Tennial Personnel are actively seeking a skilled SMT Operator to join our client’s expanding production team based in Ipswich. This is a temporary-to-permanent position, with the opportunity for a permanent contract following a successful 12-week probation period. Working hours are Monday to Friday, either 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM or 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.The role involves setting up, operating, and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment to ensure the production of high-quality electronic components. Responsibilities include operating paste screen printers, reflow ovens, and pick-and-place machines, managing stock, and inspecting assembled products for quality and accuracy.Full training is provided, making this an excellent opportunity for both experienced operators and motivated individuals with no prior SMT experience who are eager to learn and demonstrate strong attention to detail.Skills:Set up, operate, and program SMT machinery with precision and efficiencyIdentify and resolve faults during the assembly process to maintain quality standardsDemonstrate strong attention to detail and effective problem-solving skillsMaintain an organised, clean, and methodical approach to all tasksQualifications:Associate's degree or equivalent hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment Previous experience with SMT equipment is desirable but not essential Familiarity with production processes and handling of SMT components is beneficial Willingness to undergo training and learn new techniques and procedures Strong attention to detail with effective problem-solving skills Ability to maintain a clean, organised, and methodical working approach Keywords:SMT Surface Mount Technology Electronic Manufacturing
