Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform daily setting out tasks with minimal supervision.
- Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to Junior Engineers, fostering their development.
- Oversee and track all site sample and performance testing, ensuring compliance with contract specifications and maintaining accurate records.
- Conduct hazard and risk assessments, along with preparing method statements for safe execution of work.
- Manage site service plans and drawings, ensuring proper permit issuance in accordance with project requirements.
- Collaborate with the Site QS and Project Manager to supply necessary information for record-keeping and claims purposes.
- Monitor and manage the implementation of temporary works, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Cultivate and maintain effective working relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Ensure all activities align with quality, safety, and environmental policies, as well as company procedures.
What do we need from you?
- Proactive problem-solving abilities and confident communication skills.
- Ability to effectively liaise with a range of professionals across various disciplines.
- Extensive experience in setting out for infrastructure projects, including highways, roads, and earthworks.
- Proficiency in working with Leica/Geomax surveying equipment and transferring information from AutoCAD to surveying tools.
- Strong understanding of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and quality assurance processes.
- Leadership skills with the ability to manage and guide teams.
- Solid understanding of construction practices and project execution.
- Full UK driving license and willingness to travel throughout the Eastern region.
- Candidates must be eligible to live and work in the UK
- First Aid at Work qualification (desirable).
Salary for this role will be dependent upon experience and discussed upon shortlisting.
