Accounts Receivable Team Leader

  • Salary: £32,000 Per annum 

We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Team Leader to oversee a dedicated accounts receivable team. This role is perfect for a strategic thinker with a passion for driving continual improvement and maintaining high standards within the accounts receivable function. As a team leader, you will be responsible for managing the team’s output, developing their skills, and ensuring the delivery of valuable management information.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Overseeing the accounts receivable team, ensuring motivation and management of the team’s overall output.
  • Collaborating closely with other department managers to enhance efficiency.
  • Achieving individual and team KPIs within the accounts receivable team.
  • Managing and developing the existing Accounts Receivable team.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with major stakeholders.
  • Working alongside finance team leaders to provide the best data to support business operations.
  • Implementing and improving internal controls and harmonising processes.
  • Creating compliance frameworks and driving best practices within the systems environment.
  • Providing correct training to staff within the accounts receivable function and across the business.
  • Producing management information to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Delivering all reports, schedules, and information to stakeholders within tight deadlines.
  • Managing and resolving potential problem accounts and escalating when necessary.
  • Understanding the importance of working capital and cash flows.
  • Driving system upgrades and development for the accounts receivable team.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Experience managing an accounts receivable function is desirable.
  • Ability to develop the skill set of wider team members.
  • Strategic skills with a focus on continual improvement.
  • Experience designing and maintaining internal control frameworks.
  • Effective communication with a range of stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive and focused attitude when dealing with colleagues.
  • Flexible and positive attitude towards work.
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 and OCR technology is desirable.
  • High level of Microsoft Excel competency.
