NXTGEN is on the lookout for a proactive and talented Audit Assistant Manager to join a rapidly growing Audit team for a firm based in Ipswich. In this role, you will be an integral part of a skilled and experienced team committed to delivering exceptional audit and assurances services to a varied client base including for small and large entities. This practice has experienced a lot of recent positive changes over the past few years and is becoming a rapidly recoginised firm in the area. As an Audit Assistant Manager, you will collaborate closely with experienced partners, offering you the opportunity to learn from top industry professionals. These experts have either built long-standing careers within the firm or joined from leading competitors, bringing a wealth of success and experience. Your responsibilities will span a variety of tasks in both audit, accounting and taxation, providing you with the opportunity to develop into a well-rounded accountant. However, audit will remain your primary focus, driven by client demand.

You'll be involved in every stage of the audit process, from planning and fieldwork to completing the assignment for Partner review. Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading audit projects from start to finish before going to the Partner for review
  • Managing daily operations on client projects while mentoring and guiding team members
  • Provide high quality accounting and taxation advice and support
  • Engaging with clients by updating them on project status, answering queries and tackling complex issues
  • Actively networking and building strong relationships with clients
  • Tracking engagement profitability by overseeing billings and collections

Requirements:

  • Prior experience in a Chartered Accountants/Bureau environment is preferred due to the client-facing nature of the role.
  • Prior experience in Audit and strong technical knowledge
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills.

Salary is competitive and will be commensurate with experience, with flexibility to meet individual needs.
