Finance Manager

• Location: Ipswich - Outskirts  
• Salary Range: £50,000 - £55,000 per annum PLUS BONUS OTE (Package £60-65K ) 

We are seeking a Finance Manager to oversee the accuracy and completeness of our accounting operations in compliance with local regulations and U.S. GAAP. This role involves supporting the Managing Director with reporting and cost controls and managing a team to ensure the integrity of financial data.

• Organise and supervise the daily activities of the accounting team, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of journal entries.
• Maintain the integrity of financial data, including transactions with vendors and customers.
• Oversee key financial cycles, including accounts payable, fixed assets, payroll, cash books, and taxes.
• Train and develop accounting staff, both existing and new hires.
• Reconcile bank statements and accounting ledgers.
• Ensure timely and accurate VAT declarations and other periodic financial obligations.
• Prepare journal entries and perform general accounting functions.
• Assist the Managing Director with reporting and cost control measures.

• A strong understanding of complex accounting principles and ERP system processes.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers, clients, the public, and other employees.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion with business information.
• Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence.
• Capable of carrying out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form.
• Problem-solving skills for routine situations.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance, or a related field (required).
• Three to five years of relevant experience in accounting, finance, or a related field (required).
• Leadership or supervisory experience (required).
• Advanced computer skills in accounting software, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Basic database skills.
