Role Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Corporate Tax Partners on tax compliance and advisory services, including planning and complex technical work
  • Oversee the preparation of Corporation Tax Returns, computations, and related advice
  • Provide guidance on remuneration planning, profit extraction, business acquisitions, and disposals
  • Lead projects on corporate group restructuring, R&D tax credits, Patent Box, and Land Remediation Relief
  • Support tax due diligence efforts and work alongside the Corporate Finance team on M&A transactions
  • Mentor and supervise junior staff, aiding in their growth and technical development
  • Play a key role in business development activities, helping to expand the firm’s tax services across the region

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • ICAEW/ACCA or ATT qualified, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience in tax compliance and advisory work
  • Strong experience in corporate and business tax within a professional services environment
  • Proficiency in Excel and Word; familiarity with Alphatax and CCH software is beneficial
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop and manage client relationships
  • Experience in all aspects of corporate and business tax, including tax due diligence, business acquisitions and disposals, capital allowances, R&D tax credits, and transfer pricing
  • Expertise in Employment Related Securities, including employee share schemes and EIS/SEIS
  • Ability to advise on cross-border tax issues and large company compliance obligations
  • Self-motivated, flexible, and willing to travel within East Anglia
