Red Recruitment is recruiting an Import Clerk in Felixstowe, near Ipswich to join our client, a global shipping logistics servicing business. You will have a team of 3-4 people reporting in to you and you will be completing a variety of tasks covering finance, administration and logistics.
The salary for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum and is a full-time, permanent position.
Previous administration experience or experience in a similar role is preferred.
Package for an Import Clerk:
- Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm

Key Responsibilities of an Import Clerk:
- Arranging releases and container deliveries
- Arranging and processing invoices for customers
- Completing customs clearance and CHED documents
- Liaising regularly with overseas offices, partners or agents
- Being responsible for arranging and completing all associated paperwork, to ensure the nature of the goods are legal and legitimate
- Establishing contacts and relationships with HM Customs to ensure efficient transfer of goods through the legal process
Key Skills and Experience of an Import Clerk:
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, if not strong administration skills is required
- Clear communication skills are required
- You should be IT literate as you will be required to use software's such as Destin8/CNS
- Organised, punctual and fast working are all required attributes
