We are seeking a dedicated Customs Broker to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for maintaining excellent clearance services and ensuring efficient coordination with carriers and third-party contractors. If you have a keen eye for detail and a passion for improving operational processes, this position offers a rewarding opportunity to advance your career in the shipping and freight forwarding industry.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Arrange all clearances in a timely and effective manner, ensuring the highest standards of service.
  • Coordinate container release and PIN with carriers efficiently, managing all necessary payments before cargo release.
  • Make recommendations for service improvements or business expansion opportunities and highlight any service failings by third-party contractors.
  • Respond effectively and promptly to inquiries from global internal colleagues or customers.
  • Stay updated with customs regulations and assist in training other staff in customs clearances.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • At least 1 year of recent customs experience within the shipping and/or freight forwarding industry.
  • Strong analytical, numerical, and attention to detail skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a close team.
  • Problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
