Your role will involve working closely with clients, importers, and exporters as a trusted agent to coordinate safe, cost-effective, and efficient transportation of antiques and high-value items. An interest in handling unique and valuable shipments is preferred, along with patience and a strong problem-solving mind-set.

Responsibilities

  • Communicating with clients throughout the shipping process and collaborating with the Hemisphere team to provide logistics solutions
  • Handling day-to-day Import ocean freight operations and customs processes
  • Building and maintaining client relations for continued business
  • Coordinating final mile delivery requirements with third-party suppliers and in-house team
  • Providing general customs advice and creating customs and import ocean document

Requirements

  • Ideally a background in a road/sea/Air freight role working for a freight forwarder would be highly desirable - This however is not essential
  • Knowledge of customs procedures
  • Understanding of AEO procedures, Bills of Lading, Inco Terms, and general customs compliance
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
