Machinist

Machinist - Spider is supporting one of only a handful of UK manufacturers of SIPS Panels (or Structural Insulated Panels). They are currently recruiting a number of Machinists to join their team based in Mendlesham, Stowmarket!

• Hours: Monday – Thursday 7am - 4pm and Friday 7am – 11am with occasional Saturday overtime

About the role:

They are looking to strengthen their production team with the additional skilled Machinists. You will be a vital part of their production team, ensuring the precise cutting and handling of SIP panels and structural timbers. This role is perfect for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, hands-on environment and who are keen to contribute to a growing company.

Other key duties will include:

• Cutting SIP Panels & Structural Timbers according to project design drawings.
• Safely moving timber packs and SIP panels around the workshop
• Ensuring all items are cut accurately and efficiently, marked with the correct codes.
• Collaborating with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain high standards of quality.
• Handle any reasonable requests from the Director as part of the role's scope.

About you:

You will be a dedicated and detail-oriented Machinist who can interpret production drawings and experienced in structural carpentry, welding or steel fabrication. A flexible approach is required.  You will also hold a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle due to the client’s location.  It would be ideal if you held a forklift licence.
