Are you an experienced Design Coordinator or Design Manager with prior involvement in permanent works?

We have an exciting new opportunity with our client, a well-established civil engineering firm with national coverage.

They are looking for an experienced and ambitious Design Coordinator professional to work across a range of key clients including the Environment Agency and a range of local authorities.

Key duties:

  • Proactively help to manage a design team including specialist designers and consultants.
  • Visit and present to key clients including design ideas and solutions.
  • Preparing design documents, reports, briefs and high-level management plans.
  • Develop, manage and oversee variety of design programmes.
  • Ensure compliance of design documents for scheme requirements and advising on buildability.

Required Skills:

  • Strong programming software skills.
  • It is imperative that the successful candidate will come from an engineering background to provide insight into how schemes are built, for example worked at Senior Engineer, Site Agent or Site Manager level.
  • Good understanding of accepted design procedures and processes as well as guidance, codes and standards and construction specifications.
  • Ability to help support and manage other design professionals to ensure timely solutions and delivery.
