We are seeking a dedicated Senior Accounts Assistant to join our team within a reputable building firm. This role is office-based with the potential for hybrid working arrangements in the future. The successful candidate will be instrumental in handling payroll, month-end accounts, and assisting with the preparation of management accounts.
Day-to-day of the role:- Manage full-cycle payroll processing ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist in the preparation and finalisation of month-end accounts.
- Support the finance team in the preparation of management accounts.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies at all times.
- Collaborate with other departments to gather, analyse, and interpret relevant financial data.
- Provide financial reports to senior management that aid in decision-making.
- Handle queries related to accounts from within the organisation and external parties.
- Proven experience as an Accounts Assistant or similar role.
- Part AAT Qualified or Similar
- Strong understanding of payroll processing and financial reporting.
- Proficient in month-end and management accounts preparation.
- Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office.
