Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the SENCO in the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students with special educational needs.
- Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure effective differentiation and support strategies are in place.
- Liaise with parents, external agencies, and professionals to facilitate the best outcomes for students.
- Monitor and evaluate the progress of students with SEN and provide regular feedback to the SENCO and teaching staff.
- Contribute to the development of policies and practices that promote inclusive education within the school.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualifications in Special Educational Needs, Education, or a related field.
- Experience working with students with SEN in an educational setting is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
- A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting students’ individual needs.
- Knowledge of current SEN legislation and best practices.
