We are proud to be supporting this leading Manufacturer in their search for a Head of Health & Safety that will lead best practice in the business both strategically and operationally. This is a newly created role that reports directly to the Directors.You will work closely with the senior team to ensure robust HSE processes are embedded in the core of the organisation. As the businesses' subject matter expert for all HSE matters, you will business partner to embed best practice across the organisation.. There is a significant personal development plan on offer for the right candidate. There will be occasional travel to a sister site in rural Suffolk.Core duties include:
  • Reporting to the Directors, act as Company Health & Safety expert supporting the creation, implementation, development, monitoring, and review of safety arrangements
  • Monitoring and enforcement of relevant safety rules and statutory safety requirements.
  • Responsible for the creation, communication, and implementation of safety initiatives
  • Work with any external advisors to ensure the business is working to current best practice for health and safety
  • Act as chair of the Safety Committee reporting to management
  • Full in-house auditing of H&S systems and training
  • Oversee the QMS system for the business
