Health and Safety Administrator

  • Location: Outskirts of Ipswich, ideally need to drive 
  • Job Type: Full-time and office based
  • Hours: Monday to Friday 8.30am-5pm
  • Salary: From £25,000 for administrative experience and from £28,000 for relevant industry and quality or health and safety administration experience

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Health and Safety Administrator to enhance our client’s team. This role involves collaborating with the Health and Safety Manager to ensure that the company adheres to all health, safety, and compliance standards according to legal and company guidelines. The successful candidate will be instrumental in facilitating effective communication and organizational practices across various departments.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Monitor and maintain compliance standards, notifying management of any discrepancies or areas of concern.
  • Develop and present sustainability analysis and feedback in presentations.
  • Keep abreast of new compliance regulations through regular communication with suppliers and customers.
  • Address quality and compliance issues swiftly to meet customer deadlines, including the management of relevant documentation.
  • Engage with our EMEA supply chain to resolve customer queries and handle compliance-related issues.
  • Respond promptly to compliance inquiries from both internal team members and external contacts.
  • Help implement and uphold quality systems, maintaining essential certification records.
  • Assist in the preparation and execution of audits from customers or suppliers.
  • Support the maintenance of quality certifications.
  • Collaborate closely with technical management to ensure operational coherence.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organisational skills with the capability to prioritise effectively.
  • Advanced administrative skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; knowledge of Sage is a plus, but a willingness to learn is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficient phone etiquette.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to high accuracy in all responsibilities.
