HR Assitant £30,000pa- £35,000pa DOEPart-time (3days a week ideally)Ipswich 6month Fixed Term Contract- PermanentWe are working with a fantastic distributer of manufacturing goods in Ipswich who are looking to add to their HR Team with the requirement of a HR Co-ordinator this role will an initial 6month contract with opportunity of permanent employment after the 6month (subject to satisfactory work)If desired by the candidate, CIPD qualification would be supported by the organisation once permanently appointed.The successful candidate will facilitate daily HR functions, supporting managers and employees with excellent HR guidance and advice. Support the HR Manager with HR projects and service developments.Key Responsibilities:Culture and Performance
  • Act as a values guardian, ensuring we hold each other and the business to account to deliver our services in line with our values and behaviours
  • Support employee engagement activities and initiatives including employee surveys and events
Policies and Governance
  • To support the review of company policies to ensure fairness and equality.
  • Support managers with guidance and advice on employee relations issues and people policies across the business; supported by the HR Manager, where needed. To maintain HRIS and employee data, ensuring compliance with GDPR
Recruitment and onboarding
  • Ensure excellent candidate experience from enquiry through to offer and onboarding
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process by sourcing candidates, performing background checks, assisting in shortlisting, issuing employment contracts etc.
  • To support the development and implementation of best practise onboarding and induction processes
Reward and Wellness
  • Administer the company benefits programmes, including employee communications, invoicing and benefit enrolment
  • Support the delivery of the employee wellness programme to enhance and improve wellbeing and health of our employees
Training and Development
  • Coordinate training sessions and seminars
Quality and process improvement
  • Identify opportunities for improvements across the function.
  • To maintain personal professional development, ensuring that People best practise and emerging trends are considered
