Bristow Holland is recruiting for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join a leading organisation’s IT Team based in Ipswich who are offering 50% remote work. This team oversees all aspects of IT across the business, including User Support, Infrastructure, Networking, Security, Data, and Development. The successful candidate will work within the Infrastructure team, maintaining and enhancing both On-Premises and Cloud infrastructure, hardware, software, and services, and supporting both BAU operations and key IT projects.

The Infrastructure Engineer will collaborate with team members to perform routine maintenance, provide 3rd line support, and deploy new services in line with best practices and business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively monitor servers and services, identifying and resolving issues to prevent disruptions.
  • Deploy, monitor, and maintain physical and virtual servers, including patching to ensure security and reliability.
  • Oversee and maintain Azure cloud infrastructure.
  • Coordinate with Backup and DR as a Service providers, performing regular testing and reporting.
  • Provide 3rd line support for internal services and liaise with 3rd-party support teams as needed.
  • Administer and update VMWare environments.
  • Support project deployments and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Experience:

  • Previous experience in an Enterprise IT environment.
  • Skilled in monitoring and managing alerts for IT environments.
  • Proficiency in managing VMWare Datacenter environments.
  • Experience with backup and disaster recovery systems.
  • Familiarity with Azure infrastructure and hardware maintenance.
  • Proven 3rd line support experience.

Beneficial Experience:

  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and related services (DNS, DHCP, etc.).
  • Experience with Zerto.
  • Skilled in server maintenance and patching for critical vulnerabilities.
