Cooper Lomaz is excited to partner with a reputable business situated between Ipswich and Felixstowe in the search for an experienced Senior Infrastructure Engineer. This full-time, permanent role offers the opportunity to join a well-established internal IT team and make a significant impact on the organization's IT infrastructure.

Role Overview

As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will take a leading role in managing and improving the organization's IT infrastructure. Your focus will be on VMware, Office 365, Active Directory, and network and security systems. You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, security, and efficiency of the IT environment.

Key ResponsibilitiesVMware Administration
  • Manage, maintain, and optimize a highly available VMware environment.
  • Perform regular updates, patching, and proactive monitoring to ensure top performance.
Office 365 Administration
  • Configure, deploy, and manage Office 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams.
Active Directory Management
  • Administer and maintain Active Directory, including group policies, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Support Azure AD integrations and hybrid configurations.
Networking & Security
  • Troubleshoot and support network devices such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Configure and manage basic routing and VPN systems.
  • Contribute to IT security by maintaining policies, firewalls, and intrusion prevention systems.
Infrastructure Support
  • Provide expert 3rd line support for escalated technical issues.
  • Work collaboratively with the IT team to implement and optimize new technologies.
  • Ensure the reliability and readiness of backup and disaster recovery systems.
Working Location

This is a fully onsite role, requiring your presence at the company's office between Ipswich and Felixstowe.
