We are seeking an IT Technician to maintain our clients IT systems and ensure their efficient operation. This role is vital for minimising downtime and enhancing the productivity of their employees by ensuring all IT-related tools and systems are functioning optimally. This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive businesses in-house tech team.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Technical Support: Provide desktop break-fix support for internal staff, including PC, systems, networking, and printer issues. Aim to consistently resolve user issues on the first contact, maintaining an average resolution time of under 30 minutes.
  • System Maintenance: Ensure systems are consistently updated and running efficiently with minimal disruptions. Schedule and complete preventive maintenance tasks on time to reduce the incidence of unexpected issues.
  • Troubleshooting: Accurately diagnose issues on the first attempt and implement effective solutions promptly. Escalate complex problems appropriately and resolve them within acceptable time frames.
  • Network Management: Monitor and optimise network performance consistently to ensure smooth operation with minimal downtime. Address any issues before they affect users.
  • Training: Provide training and support to new users on how to use equipment and software, ensuring participants leave with a clear understanding and confidence in using IT systems.
  • Documentation: Create clear, concise, and easy-to-follow documentation to help users independently resolve common issues, reducing the overall number of support requests.
  • Equipment: Set up and install equipment and software for new starters, including PCs, screens, printers, WiFi, and CCTV.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Windows.
  • Experience with network configuration and troubleshooting.
  • Proficiency in using and configuring common office software.
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Desirable:
  • Microsoft 365 Certifications 
  • Cyber Awareness
  • Firewall Configuration
  • Any technical skills with Excel, SQL Server, DevExpress, HTML code.
