Spider is advertising on behalf of a Loss Adjusters and Surveyors who specialise in Freight Liability and Marine Cargo Insurance. They are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Administrator to join the team based on a Part-time, Hybrid basis in Ipswich, Suffolk.

About the role:
As their SeniorFinance Administrator, you will be a skilled finance professional who will oversee the daily financial transactions and contribute to the financial reporting and compliance. You will work closely with the director and play an essential part in the internal finance function of the business. You will also support the day-to-day HR functions of the business, including recruitment and document preparation.
This role is part-time, working hours are 3 days per week, generally 21 hours per week. Hybrid working is available but will be required to be in the office one day per week.
Other responsibilities will include:
- Overseeing daily financial transactions and managing accounts payable/receivable processes.
- Preparing financial statements and customised reports for senior management’s review.
- Conducting thorough reconciliations for various accounts, including multi-currency and VAT.
- Ensuring accuracy in payroll processing and compliance with tax regulations.
- Managing cash flow forecasts and departmental expense records.
- Supporting month-end and year-end closing processes to maintain precise financial records.
- Assisting with audit preparation and ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- Streamlining processes for enhanced financial accuracy and operational performance.
About you:
For this SeniorFinance Administrator role, you will need to bring 3-5 years’ experience in finance administration or accounting. You need to be AAT Level 3 qualified, with a preference for AAT Level 4 qualifications. Proficient in Xero, Dext, and advanced Excel. You will have a keen eye for detail and a solid understanding of bookkeeping and reconciliations. Your strong communication skills enable you to collaborate effectively across teams, while your organisational talents allow you to manage priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
