Export Operations Coordinator

We are looking for an Export Operations Coordinator to work within our Port Operations team at our Ipswich head office.
They will ensure all export cargo connects with intended vessels by completing and providing accurate load lists and information to planners and terminals for all export cargo within agreed deadlines using a variety of tools in combination with knowledge of vessel and terminal deadlines and requirements.
They will be identifying and resolving issues that may prevent this connection within deadlines, using a range of internal and external systems to check and resolve, whilst also liaising with internal and external contacts as required.

- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work to dynamic deadlines
- Knowledge and experience of the Ports, vessels and associated operations an advantage.
- Good PC skills, previous experience of MS Office software essential
- Technical ability to learn and use in house systems
- A professional, positive and flexible attitude at all times
- High level of attention to detail
- Ability to build positive operational relationships with internal customers
- Demonstrate excellent time management and organisation skills
- Ability to perform under pressure
How you will help us and what you can expect
- Ensuring all load lists are sent for pre-approval to relevant global customs authorities in compliance with their required deadlines. Maintaining own knowledge of these cut offs and requirements relating to export, transhipment or ROB to ensure no cargo is excluded or fines imposed on agency or MSC
- Compiling, checking, amending, formatting and providing MSC Planners and terminals with accurate loading information within agreed deadlines, reacting to changes in arrival schedules at short notice to ensure all possible cargo connects
- Liaise with MSC trade teams, cargo management and intermodal department to ensure all cargo is available to connect to planned vessel
- Communicate with planners, terminals and other MSC departments as required to resolve issues preventing cargo connecting as planned to include such issues as late arrivals, holds by clients, terminals or government bodies, OOG inspections and incomplete critical information
- Monitoring of vessels arrival times and adjusting own priorities to match
- Follow vessels in Port, to ensure smooth loading of cargo, any potential problems need to be advised to cargo management at first opportunity
- Accurate production and distribution of Dangerous cargo information to Port Authorities
- Sending of accurate TLP / TLA (loading files) to north west continent agencies
- Sending load confirmation for transhipment containers to MSC Agencies booking offices
- Ensuring Post shipments are accurate and completed in a timely manner after departure, any short shipments are advised to Trade Desk
