Export Port Operations Clerk

Full time, permanent

We are looking for a Export Port Ops Clerk to join our busy Operations department. This is an exciting opportunity to join a team that provides all export load lists, hazardous reports, special equipment within the timeframe specified to MSC Planning offices and UK Ports served by MSC.

Skills and experience you’ll bring to us

We would like you to bring a flexible attitude to an often demanding role as well as a desire to complete tasks to any set deadlines. You’ll be a strong team player with high level of concentration in a detailed but rewarding role. Good communication and IT skills are essential within this role.

Previous shipping knowledge and experience is helpful, however, we will always support learning and training our people.

How you will help us and what you can expect

  • Ensure all short shipments are investigated and accurately reported on in a timely fashion

  • Liaise with cargo management team to update missed shipments to new export voyages
  • Upload of Final OBL files into EQM system

  • Sending of accurate TLP / TLA (loading files) to north west continent agencies

  • Ensure equipment moves are in the system for all exported units

  • Collating department performance data

  • Managing data in Port Systems to assist the ingate of export units

*Please note: Saturday cover will be required. 10 Saturdays a year consisting of 4 hours a day once fully trained*
