PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AS A KITCHEN PORTER IS REQUIRED
My Retained Client is currently seeking an experienced Kitchen Porter to join their busy kitchen brigade. They are a luxury 4 star Hotel, with an excellent reputation for superb food and customer service. Located on the outskirts of Ipswich, and easily accessible from the local towns of Woodbridge, Felixstowe and Sutton, they are looking for an enthusiastic, confident and hardworking individual with a willingness to handle various responsibilities, follow instructions and work under supervision. They are a reputable and exciting employer offering competitive rates of pay as well as excellent career progression and development opportunities.
Duties can include:
Assisting with the smooth running of the kitchen production areas, washing dishes manually and also by using the dishwasher. Assisting in basic food preparation. Storing away all crockery, cutlery and glassware and sweeping and mopping the kitchen floor.
Ordering chemicals and organization.
You will need to comply with the daily cleaning rotas and ensure that at the end of the shift the kitchen is ready for the morning staff.
You will need to:
• Have a 'can do’ attitude
• Have previous experience as a Kitchen Porter
• Possess a high standard of personal hygiene and appearance
• Be willing to work a mixture of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
A car driver is essential
