My client is looking for a Maintenance operative in Ipswich. Electrical, Mechanical or Handyperson.
Must have FM & Maintenance experience. Static or Mobile.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Responsibilities include:
PPM and reactive works
Diagnose and repair faults on building services
AHU’s, FCU’s
Pumps, Motors
Fans, Belts, Filters
Any other works asked by the manager
Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
Ensure the steam boiler is maintained as per OEM specifications and that required daily checks are carried out.
• Ensure that routine PPM is carried out to all mechanical and electrical plant in accordance with Site task schedules and asset lists.
• Ensure that reactive tasks throughout the building are completed and be proactive in highlighting areas where improvements can be made.
• Ensure that plant faults and defects are swiftly remedied to maintain plant in serviceable order at all times.
• Ensure that suitable spares are available to carry out both maintenance and reactive works. To provide parts lists and estimated timescales to carry out remedial works.
• Ensure that all relevant paperwork is completed regarding PPM, reactive and breakdown works and that it is recorded on our CAFM system.
• Ensure that Method Statements and Risk Assessments are prepared and used for all tasks undertaken to ensure safe working practices at all times.
• Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of uniform and PPE at all times.
• Supervising and monitoring of sub-contractors works whilst they are on site undertaking maintenance.
• Ensure assigned tasks are actioned and completed as appropriate.
• To ensure tasks as directed are completed with the appropriate H&S awareness/implementation.
• Ensure an awareness and compliance to the contractual KPIs/SLAs.
• Ensure system is kept up to date and that PPM and reactive tickets are closed out with accurate data captured.
• Any other task as directed by the management team.
Handyperson
Responsibilities:
• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance of the building fabric as required on the contract i.e painting/decorating/flooring/building works
• Duties will also include minor tasks such as door locks, light bulb changes etc.
• Carry out escorting duties of sub-contractors as and when required
• Control upkeep of the onsite maintenance log book.
• Procure materials and equipment to carry out works through Helpdesk, Supervisor or Manager.
• Complete FSI go tasks for works undertaken and obtain signature/approval from the site representative.
• Advise Client of minor additional works and compile estimates through the Supervisor or Manager.
• Attend call outs/breakdowns, carry out fault diagnosis, repair or advise as required.
• Communicate daily with helpdesk/Supervisor regarding status of PPM and Reactive tasks
• Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours with additional remuneration
• To ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.
• To undertake additional PPM/reactive duties in line with capabilities as required i.e. plumbing/mechanical/minor electrical
This is a temporary role for a minimum of 3 weeks and is paying up to £21.23 per hour PAYE or £24 per hour. Depending on qualifications/experience.
