My client is looking for a Maintenance Workshop Engineer to take charge of ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of plant assets in their thriving manufacturing environment. We are looking for a dedicated and hands-on engineer to run all aspects of the maintenance operations, minimise downtime, and keep their equipment running at peak performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Plan and Schedule Maintenance- Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance schedules while coordinating with production teams to minimise disruption.
  • Troubleshoot and Repair- Diagnose equipment issues, perform timely repairs, and ensure systems are operational with minimal downtime.
  • Oversee Compliance and Documentation- Maintain detailed maintenance logs and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
  • Optimise Resources- Manage spare parts and tools, control costs, and collaborate with vendors for servicing and procurement.
  • Drive Improvements- Lead equipment upgrades, enhance efficiency, and reduce energy consumption.

What We are Looking For:

  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical handling equipment.
  • Experience in maintenance, repair, or plant operations management.
  • Confident communicator with excellent organisational skills.
  • A proactive problem-solver with a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance systems and safety regulations.
  • Ability to take ownership and drive initiatives for improvement.
  • Experience with trailer repairs and inspections is a plus but not essential.
