About the role:
As a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and efficiency of plant machinery and mechanical equipment. Your hands-on experience will enable you to troubleshoot, repair, and conduct preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, ensuring our operations run smoothly. This position offers an excellent platform for you to showcase your problem-solving skills and take the initiative in a collaborative environment, ultimately contributing to the overall productivity and safety of our operations.Â
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections to maximise equipment uptime.Â
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.Â
- Respond swiftly to breakdowns and emergencies, maintaining minimal disruption to production.Â
- Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery while suggesting upgrades to enhance efficiency.Â
- Uphold safety and compliance standards by maintaining accurate records and participating in safety audits.Â
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and implementing reliable maintenance practises.Â
- Manage inventory and spare parts to ensure timely replenishment and availability.Â
About you:
They are seeking a passionate Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with proven experience in maintenance engineering within an industrial or manufacturing environment. You should possess technical proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, along with familiarity with predictive and preventive maintenance techniques. An educational background in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or a related field) is essential, as are strong problem-solving capabilities and effective communication skills. A basic knowledge of maintenance management software and the Microsoft Office Suite is required, along with a willingness to work in a factory setting, including confined spaces and exposure to varying environments.Â
