Back to searchTennial Personnel are seeking a permanent Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer with proven experience in ensuring the highest levels of productivity and efficiency of production plant machinery? Working in a sustainable manufacturing organization
Reporting to the Operations Manager you will be highly reactive to meeting the day-to-day maintenance, repair, troubleshooting and servicing of the plant machinery. Essentially you will maintain all plant equipment to maximize available production activities whilst ensuring a safe working environment in line with our clients Health and Safety procedures.
This is a fascinating role where you will have support from the production teams and management so you can be sure of meeting the key targets of limiting downtime through breakdowns and how much time spent on preventative maintenance.
Working hours are 6am to 2pm / 2pm - 10pm or 10pm - 6am ( rotating ) Monday Friday.
Responsibilities include
Planned and reactive maintenance, replacement, repair of mechanical/electrical parts for filling, packing/sealing machinery, labeling machines.
Carry out essential machine maintenance of the plant machinery used in the processing of raw materials.
Diagnosing faults and making recommendations for plant improvement in terms of safety and productivity.
Both workshop and site engineering tasks for a diverse range of machinery across the production facility.
Adjustment of the preparation equipment for the raw materials to maintain good quality product supply.
Reactive and responsive to equipment faults and failures.
Undertaking scheduled maintenance on key plant and equipment as specified within preventative maintenance plans.
Ensuring critical spare parts are held and controlled to minimize production down time in case of component failure. Controlling maintenance tools, stores and equipment.
Ensure compliance to cleaning and inspection of all areas.
Hands on approach with the technical expertise to make appropriate decisions for engineering tasks.
Advising the Shift Production Manager on machines to maximize plant longevity and efficiency.
Ensuring plant, equipment and facilities meet compliance with Health and Safety legislation
Qualifications
You should have experience within Mechanical/Electrical Engineering. Along with being a
Multi skilled Engineer ideally with a 70% Mechanical/30% Electrical. You must also have
Experience within a fast pace FMCG Company ideally with filling, sealing and packaging machinery.
Technically astute in diagnosing breakdowns, fault finding and decision making to minimize downtime.
Flexibility and energetic to meet a very demanding production environment.
High attention to detail and experience in maintaining and updating high specification production machinery.
Strong team work with the initiative to work as part of a small but highly skilled team.
Reliable and consistent in execution of workloads with strong communication to liaise with production, maintenance and management.
