Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and represent the project team, maintaining a professional and approachable presence on-site.
- Communicate effectively with clients, suppliers, and the team, both verbally and in writing.
- Take initiative and drive projects to successful completion, with a proactive "can-do" attitude.
- Collaborate with a Contracts Manager and provide leadership to junior managers.
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the site, overseeing multiple elements of the project.
- Solve on-site challenges swiftly and efficiently while maintaining a focus on quality and safety.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure organised documentation throughout the project.
- Champion Health & Safety practices on-site, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
Requirements:
- Strong leadership presence and the ability to inspire confidence in your team.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with clients, suppliers, and team members.
- Highly self-motivated, with a proven ability to deliver projects successfully.
- Experience in managing site operations and coordinating with a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate challenges before they arise.
- Proven ability to maintain organised records and manage the administrative side of projects.
- Current SMSTS certification is essential.
Skills & Experience:
- Time Management: Able to control the progress of work, ensuring trades are organised in line with the project programme.
- Cost Control: Ability to manage budgets and control site costs, reviewing supply-chain variation requests and coordinating subcontractors and direct labour efficiently.
- Quality Assurance: Strong understanding of drawings and specifications to ensure that high-quality standards and craftsmanship are upheld.
- Health & Safety: Knowledge of current health and safety regulations and the ability to implement a site-specific Health & Safety plan effectively.
