Opus People Solutions are seeking a Payroll and Pensions Manager in Ipswich on a full time, permanent basis.

This is an opportunity to join a business that's growing significantly and put down your marker.

We are seeking candidates CIPP qualified or equivalent with line management experience. Although, if you're looking for a supportive organisation for a step up, don't let this put you off applying.

You will have the opportunity to work hybrid and flexibly, whilst working with clients and key suppliers to ensure the services are delivered within contractual agreements and legal time frames.

Day to day, you will:

  • Lead and manage the Payroll and Pensions teams to provide valued outsourced service.
  • Work closely with Group Payroll and Pensions Manager to continually improve the service which is being provided to our customers.
  • Continuously improve and evolve the work flows and activities within the service team to ensure efficient and innovative ways of working.
  • Ongoing development and management of the Payroll and Pensions team continuous professional development plan. Continually review to incorporate changing legislation's, technology and customer needs.
  • Embedding process changes across the team to ensure sustainability as we continue to grow. Taking on more clients outside the sector and delivering services to a more diverse customer base.
  • Manage escalations of service issues effectively supporting colleagues and customers through our continuous improvement processes.
  • Accountable for team deadlines for the client's payrolls and statutory reporting.
  • Responsible for managing the on boarding and off boarding of client's payrolls, which can involve TUPE legislation and time frames and understanding differing employment terms and conditions.
