Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Band 6 Pharmacy Technician with acute ward experience to join our dynamic team in Ipswich on a long-term locum contract. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced pharmacy technician looking to make a significant impact in a well-established healthcare setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Dispensing medications accurately and efficiently.
- Assisting in the dispensary and participating in ward rounds.
- Managing and maintaining pharmacy inventory.
- Providing expert advice and support to patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Participating in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
- Supervising and training junior pharmacy staff.
Requirements:
- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Previous experience in a Band 6 role or equivalent.
- Acute ward experience is essential.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
