Job Role

To provide an effective proactive Neighbourhood management service.

To be responsible for the management of communal spaces, facilities and HRA land within Babergh and Mid Suffolk Districts with a focus on the health, safety
and the welfare of residents.

Support colleagues within the Housing Service to provide excellent customer service, resolve complaints and develop service improvements based on
customer feedback.

To work collaboratively with other teams to ensure housing communities remain places where people want to live and lead healthy and independent lives.

To be a visible presence in our neighbourhoods and communities identifiable and recognisable by residents.


Key Responsibilities

Be responsible for regular inspections of internal and external communal spaces that are designated for the use of the council tenants and leaseholders.

Be responsible for arranging the removal and storage of goods from a communal space if the council tenants and leaseholders do not remove items
themselves.

Be responsible for resolving any problems encountered or reported, often in conjunction with other service areas within the council.

Work with colleagues across service areas to ensure that communal spaces are safe and far as is reasonably practicable and identified risks are eliminated
or managed.

Be responsible for the management of council owned garages including the inspection of sites, reporting of repairs, arranging new lettings, terminations,
serving a notice and arranging clearances.
